Un proyecto de cohesión social a través del arte

Project of social cohesion through art carried out in Badalona (Barcelona) in 2010 consisting of three large-format murals, three territorial workshops and an exhibition. The project stems from the need of the city council to value the identity of the city. In the first place, the local photographer Albert Jodar took 34 photographs of citizens, one person from each neighbourhood. Subsequently, the muralist Jorge Rodríguez Gerada through the Composite Identity project and with the collaboration of the University of Barcelona, we scanned these 34 faces in 3D, the process ended with the algorithmic mixture of all the faces in 3D with which the artist made a large mural that can be seen at the entrance of the city by the highway. On the other hand, Sixe Paredes took the cultural icon of the city, the demon, to the outlying neighborhoods that are not considered part of the city. The Difusor collective carried out three workshops in the most marginal neighborhoods through the photovoice technique and to finish, an exhibition was held with the 34 photographs in the windows of the shops in the city center.
